October Luncheon

11:30 am - 1:00 pm
9620 SW Barbur Blvd

Build with what you are given.

If you entered into every important conversation with an intention to “build on what you’re given” – what might be possible in your work and in your life?

Long-time improviser and workplace communication specialist, Jean Bonifas, invites you to experience “Yes, and…”, the Applied Improvisation principle upon which the phrase, “build on what you’re given” is founded. We’ll also explore ways in which these phrases can enliven Portlandia Club’s mission to Connect, Collaborate and Contribute.

As a result of participating in this presentation, you’ll take home at least one experiment-worthy idea for invigorating your professional and interpersonal conversations.

Jean’s company, Springboard Northwest, has been transforming workplace communication “messes into successes” since 2002. Clients speak highly of owner Jean Bonifas’ ability to engage their employees in addressing organizational issues without talking them to death.

Parking at the Girl Scouts office is in the lower parking lot, down past the coffee kiosk on the north side of the building. Please do not park in the main lot.

Lunch: If you wish to order a lunch for the meeting, you must register no later than the prior Monday at noon. Lunch orders after noon Monday will be declined. Salad and sandwich sack lunches will be ordered from Elephant’s Delicatessen. Please indicate lunch choice during registration. For salad and sandwich descriptions, please visit Elephant’s website.

If you wish to attend the program only, you may register until Wednesday at 5 pm.
