Portlandia Luncheon Program Explores what Keeps Us Vital
What do you do to stay healthy and full of energy?
We’ll explore that topic at our August 7 luncheon as we celebrate the launch of the first Portlandia Reads discussion, inspired by our first speaker of 2014, Lauren Kessler.
In her book, "Counter Clockwise, My Year of Hypnosis, Hormones, Dark Chocolate, and Other Adventures in the World of Aging", Kessler, researched what it takes to live with energy, stamina, vitality, resilience, and health for a very long time.
Her goal was to reverse her biological age from the inside out Kessler learned that seventy percent of the aging process is determined by habits and lifestyle and only thirty percent by genetics.
We invite you to discuss the topic of staying vital, resilient and healthy as we share insights from the book and our own lives.
