March 2014 After Hours: Gourmet Noshing & Networking

Buon Giorno! Welcome to an evening inspired by by the Amalfi coast, warm Tuscan hillsides, art of Firenze, rich architecture of Roma, and Venezia! Ah Venice, the canals, romantic singing gondoliers, unique architecture and sensuous art of blown glass!

Since we can't all be transported to Italy to savor their fabulous food our evening touring BASCO's stunning kitchens is the second best thing!

If you attended last year you know how delectable BASCO is, just entering starts the salivating process! If you or a friend are thinking of or in the middle of a kitchen remodel, this is THE event for you! BASCO is a feast for the eyes, simply "Molto Bello"!

Bacchus, god of wine and merriment, dictates that our first stop on our way to an evening of Italian delicacies must be vino! Back by popular demand is Scott Paul Wines, Martha and her delightful daughter Pierri were a lovely addition to our event last year and have come up with an idea on pouring and selling to make even more money for our charities! People were raving about their wines and champagne from last year and she will be prepared for you to purchase bottles of their luscious liquid to take home!

The excitement builds as we enter the main kitchen stadium, THE colosseum of kitchens! Our Gourmet Gladiators are Kate Bodin, Kim Noyes Megorden, and Judith Sacomano Jones, Portlandia's "la cosa nostra"! Now that she has done me this favor, some day she may come to me to do her a service and I must repay her this favor! (The Godfather) This trio of temptresses in the kitchen have put their heads together and are coming up with a menu of delizioso antipasti! Mangia!

Shhhh, I've heard rumors of a "nosh poco dolce" but I think that's a surprise!

Finito....we get to savor the antipasti, validate the vino, investigate intoxicating women, negotiate the networking, and survey the bounty of BASCO!
